Wacky idea takes flight

Swiss pilot and inventor Yves Rossy soars above the Spanish resort of Empuriabrava during a test flight with jet-fuelled powered wings strapped to his back.

His 'Fusion Man' project is slated to take part in the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva next month.

The annual exhibition mixes serious business ideas with a variety of wacky innovations in diverse fields. More than 700 exhibitors from 42 countries will be present.
